Yes, I'm blogging.
Yes, I know what I said about blogging.
No, this doesn't mean that I will now be on Facebook, LiveJournal, Friendster, Twitter, or whatever the social-network site du jour is. You get a blog. That's enough.
What will I blog about? Well, I'm a cryptographer by training, so you'll probably hear about programming languages, mathematics, interesting technologies, the state of women in computer science, finances and stock investing, games and gaming, and (occasionally) cryptography.
You will probably not, however, hear about my family. If you want that, feel free to switch to one of my wife's many blogs.
I hope to blog at least once a week. I deliberately waited to begin until I had a backlog of half-formed posts, and so I have some reasonable hope of actually doing so for a while.
Yes, some of these back-logged topics are navel-gazing.
No, not all of them.
